Settings 1/100, f/8, ISO320 for both pictures. 🇫🇷 Ce nudibranche pélagique est observable dans toutes les mers du monde. Comme beaucoup des sujets observés au cours des plongées blackwater, ce spécimen a déguerpi dès qu’il a été pris dans le faisceau de ma lampe. J’ai néanmoins réussi à prendre 2 clichés, en vue de profil (gauche) et vue de dessus (droite). 🇬🇧 This pelagic nudibranch can be observed in all the oceans of the world. Like many of the subjects observed during blackwater dives, this specimen bolted as soon as it was caught in the beam of my pilot lamp. I nevertheless managed to take 2 shots, in profile view (left) and top view (right).

BABY ALONE AT NIGHT

Juvenile Yellow Boxfish (Ostracion cubicus), Lembeh Strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia 🇫🇷 Lorsqu'il est juvénile, le poisson-coffre jaune est de couleur jaune vif. En vieillissant, l'éclat s'estompe et les spécimens les plus vieux acquièrent une coloration allant du bleu-gris au noir avec des touches de jaune fané. Ce juvénile, d'à peine 1,5 cm de long, évoluait tranquillement dans la colonne d'eau, lors d'une plongée dérivante blackwater. 🇬🇧 When juvenile, the yellow boxfish is bright yellow in color. As they age, the brightness fades and very old specimens have blue-grey to black coloration with faded yellow.
